The
medical
group
did
a
variety
of
things.
Each
day
they
split
into
three
or
four
groups
and
worked
in
different
locations.
They
staffed
an
HIV
clinic
and
performed
numerous
GYN
exams.
They
worked
doing
general
medicine
in
four
different
sites
around
Tela
seeing
close
to
100
people
per
day.
They
taught
CPR
courses
for
the
fire
department
and
for
the
staff
at
the
main
clinic.
They
also
had
a
diabetic
educator
who
spent
numerous
days
at
the
main
health
clinic
helping
teach
the
staff
and
patients.
The
team
brought
down
over
200
lbs
of
medications
which
were
essentially
gone
by
the
end
of
the
week.
The
main
ailments
they
treated
were
intestinal
parasites,
scabies,
fungal
infections
and
arthritis.
